I saw some not pretty numbers on my glucose monitor today. My diabetes has been in remission for the last 2 years. Being pregnant definitely raised my risk of getting it again and that has me FREAKED out. Ideally my morning glucose should be <95. Up until now it has been...and then yesterday it was 104. Today is was 103.
Thankfully I did start making some changes last week. I made low carb meals and tried to eat better than I had been. However I was still having candy. Hershey kisses to be exact. Every afternoon around 3pm. I'm a sugar addict.
Today those two readings just undid me. I looked at photos of me from last year and I looked so great. I was in such good shape from running and eating healthy. I want that again! I want that to be the person my baby meets. I want to feel proud and in charge of the way I am treating my body.
I am not trying to lose a TON of weight while I'm pregnant. I am due on 3/1/17. I want to be 199 when I deliver. Last week I weighed in at 208.
Today's weight: 207
This week: -1
Pounds to go: 8
But most important is my blood sugar for sure. I am determined to DO this!!!
This week's goals:
1. Eat on schedule.
2. Stay on plan.
3. Test blood sugar 4 times each day
